The Fisherbrand specimen collection and transport system from Fisher Anatomical is a complete kit for collecting and transporting specimens. It is sterile, self-contained and ready to use. It is described for viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasma and ureaplasma.
- Complete collection and transport system for viruses, chlamydia, mycoplasma and ureaplasma
- Lot number and expiration date are printed on the tube labels
- Swabs are tipped with inert, nontoxic rayon
- Sterilized with gamma radiation
- Glass beads add surface area for cell adhesion and help spread the specimen in later culturing
- Scored Dacron-tipped swab breaks off cleanly at the right length inside the tube
- Cap engages the swab shaft automatically on closing and holds it tightly on reopening
- Approved for storage at room temperature for up to 1 year before use
- Self-contained, sterile, ready-to-use anaerobic transport system
- Medium indicator turns lavender if the anaerobic system has been compromised
- Double tip swab on a plastic shaft, in a translucent tube with a red cap that has a pierceable stopper for injecting fluids
- Scored swab breaks easily to fit in the tube
