The BD BBL CultureSwab Specimen Collection and Transport System is a sterile swab and transport tube set, used to collect a specimen and carry it to the lab. It has a 5-1/4 inch length and two soft rayon swab tips. It is sold in a pack of 50.
- Packaged in Vi-Pak foil
- Nitrogen gas is injected into both the foil pack and each individual swab package
- This inner environment works together with sodium thioglycolate in the transport medium to create an ideal Eh potential
- The metallic foil outer package and the plastic film around each swab block the entry of oxygen and limit unwanted oxidation of the transport medium
- Liquid Amies Medium additive
- Double soft swab tip
- Plastic shaft with rayon swab
- Double-action security cap, natural color, on a transparent tube
