Description / Covidien VLOCM2105 - V-Loc™ 90 Wound Closure Device Suture with Needle - 12/Box
The Covidien V-Loc 90 wound closure device is an absorbable suture with a needle. Its barbs hold tissue in place, and its welded loop means you do not tie knots. It is made for dermal closure.
- Synthetic absorbable barbed suture made from Glycomer 631, a synthetic polyester
- Glycomer 631 is composed of glycolide (60%), dioxanone (14%) and trimethylene carbonate (26%)
- Unidirectional barbs grasp the tissue at many points and distribute tension across the wound
- Barb and welded loop design speeds dermal closure because no knots need to be tied
- Designed with the potential to reduce knot-related complications
- Circular needle shape holds the needle securely in an optimal position
- Welded loop design
- Suture size 2-0, barbed monofilament
- Polyester suture material, uncoated
