Description / Covidien VLOCM0024 - V-Loc™ 90 Wound Closure Device Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Covidien V-Loc 90 wound closure device is an absorbable suture with a needle. The suture is barbed, so you do not tie knots to close the wound. It is sterile, undyed and uncoated, with an 18 inch length and one needle.
- Synthetic absorbable barbed suture made from Glycomer 631, a synthetic polyester
- Glycomer 631 is composed of glycolide (60%), dioxanone (14%) and trimethylene carbonate (26%)
- Unidirectional barbs grasp the tissue at numerous points and distribute tension across the wound
- Barb and welded loop design speeds dermal closure because no knots need to be tied
- Designed with the potential to reduce knot-related complications
- Circular needle shape holds the needle securely in an optimal position
- Welded loop design
- Needle: P-12, 3/8 circle, precision reverse cutting, alloy, 19 mm long
