The Covidien Monosof Dermalon suture with needle is a sterile, nonabsorbable suture, meaning the body does not break it down over time. It is a size 4-0 nylon monofilament, a single smooth strand, attached to a precision reverse cutting needle. It is used in general soft tissue approximation and ligation.
