The Covidien Biosyn suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one the body absorbs over time, made as a single monofilament strand. It is sterile and undyed, and it comes with one 3/8 circle precision reverse cutting needle attached. Facility buyers can check the exact specs below.
- Biosyn synthetic absorbable suture made from Glycomer 631, a synthetic polyester
- Glycomer 631 is composed of glycolide (60%), dioxanone (14%) and trimethylene carbonate (26%)
- Monofilament construction, made for smooth passage through tissue
- Supports the wound for up to 3 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 90 to 110 days
