Description / Covidien SC-5780G - Caprosyn™ Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Covidien Caprosyn suture with needle is a synthetic absorbable suture, meaning the body absorbs it over time. It is a monofilament, a single smooth strand, and comes sterile with one attached needle. It is indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation.
- Quick absorption, durable polymer material and monofilament construction give smooth passage through tissue
- Used for approximation or ligation of tissue
- Indicated for general soft tissue approximation and/or ligation
- Not for use in cardiovascular or neurological surgery, microsurgery, or ophthalmic surgery
- Complete mass absorption in approximately 56 days
- Smooth monofilament surface creates less tissue drag than the twisted surface of gut sutures
- Monofilament synthetic absorbable suture that provides short term tensile strength
