Description / Covidien S-1780K - Sofsilk™ Suture with Needle - 1/Box
The Covidien Sofsilk suture is a nonabsorbable suture, one that is not broken down by the body, made of natural proteinaceous silk fibers. It comes with a needle on each end (double-armed) and is used in general soft tissue approximation and ligation. The braided strands are coated for smooth handling.
- Nonabsorbable, sterile, non-mutagenic suture made of natural proteinaceous silk fibers
- Braided construction, available coated uniformly with either silicone or a special wax mixture to reduce capillarity and increase surface lubricity
- Smooth, multiple pass rundown, which minimizes breakage
- Used in general soft tissue approximation and ligation
- Suture size 6-0, 12-strand braided silk, coated
