The ConvaTec Aquacel Extra gelling fiber wound dressing is a hydrofiber dressing, a dressing that turns to a gel when it meets fluid. It is a sterile 4 x 5 inch rectangle. It is made for moderate to highly exuding wounds, meaning wounds that produce a moderate to heavy amount of fluid.
- Hydrofiber dressing that is nine times stronger and 39% more absorbent than a standard Aquacel dressing
- Two-dimensional strengthening fibers give the 4 x 5 inch dressing high strength and durability
- Gels on contact with fluid for high absorbency
- Creates a moist environment at the wound
- For use on moderate to highly exuding wounds
