The ConvaTec Aquacel Extra is a gelling fiber wound dressing, a hydrofiber pad that turns to gel when it meets fluid. It measures 6 x 6 inches and is sterile. It is made for moderate to highly exuding wounds, meaning wounds that produce a moderate to high amount of fluid.
- Hydrofiber dressing that is nine times stronger and 39% more absorbent than a standard Aquacel dressing
- Two-dimensional strengthening fibers for high strength and durability
- Gels on contact with fluid for high absorbency
