The ConvaTec Aquacel Extra gelling fiber wound dressing is a hydrofiber dressing, a soft fiber pad that turns to gel when it meets fluid. It is made for moderate to highly exuding wounds, meaning wounds that produce a medium to large amount of fluid. This 2 X 2 Inch square dressing comes sterile.
- Hydrofiber dressing that is nine times stronger and 39% more absorbent than a standard hydrofiber dressing
- Two-dimensional strengthening fibers give the 2 × 2 inch dressing high strength and durability
- Gels on contact with fluid for high absorbency
- Creates a moist environment
- For use on moderate to highly exuding wounds
