The Aesculap SterilContainer sterilization process indicator card is a Class 1, Type 1 external indicator, a card that shows whether an item has been through a sterilization cycle. It is made for Aesculap quarter and mini-size containers. Facility staff can use it in steam and EO gas processes.
- Class 1 indicator card, used to help confirm that only items that have gone through sterilization are used in patient care
- After sterilization, the external indicator should change from its original color to the recommended post-sterilization color
- Indicator changes brown in steam, and changes to dark brown in steam
- For use in PreVac steam, PreVac IUSS, gravity and EtO modalities
- Intended for use in Aesculap quarter and mini-size containers
- Sterilization compatibility: steam and EO gas
- Temperature range in steam: 250° to 270°F (121° to 132°C)
- Processing times listed: 3, 4 and 30 minutes
