The Ballard T-piece closed suction catheter is an endotracheal catheter that stays sealed inside the breathing circuit connection, so it is called a closed suction catheter. It is a sterile adult device made of PVC. It has a hinged valve and a one-way lavage port.

- Sealed with patented PEEP seal technology
- One-way lavage port designed to limit spray back
- Hinged valve isolates the catheter tip and is designed to guard against inadvertent lavage
