The PICO 7 Negative Pressure Wound Therapy Two Dressing Kit pairs a pump with an absorbent, gentle adhesive dressing. Negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT) is suction applied through the dressing. This kit contains two sterile 15 X 30 cm dressings.
- PICO provides suction, known as negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT), that draws excess fluid from a wound and protects the incision or wound
- The system consists of an NPWT pump connected to an absorbent dressing with a gentle adhesive
- You apply the dressing to the wound bed, then place extra adhesive strips over the outside edge to help hold it in place
- When the pump is turned on, air is pulled out of the dressing and excess fluid from the wound starts to enter the dressing
- The dressing is designed to help keep bacteria from entering the wound
- Approved for use on acute wounds, chronic wounds and closed surgical incisions
- PICO 7 is a portable system, so patients can continue daily activities
- The dressing is waterproof, so patients can shower
