The Molnlycke Mepitel wound contact layer dressing is a sterile, non-adherent dressing that sits directly on the wound, under an outer absorbent dressing. It measures 2 x 3 inch and is made of silicone and mesh. Its long wear time means fewer changes of the primary dressing.
- Wound-contact layer that can be left in place for up to 14 days, depending on the condition of the wound
- Long wear time reduces the need for frequent primary dressing changes
- Porous structure lets exudate (wound fluid) pass into an outer absorbent dressing
- Safetac layer keeps the outer dressing from sticking to the wound and allows atraumatic dressing changes, meaning changes that cause less trauma to the wound
- Conforms well to body contours, for comfort during wear
