The McKesson Cypress Medical Super Absorbent Charcoal Dressing is a sterile, square wound dressing that measures 5 X 5 Inch. It pairs a super absorbent polymer (SAP) core with an activated charcoal layer. You use it for wounds with moderate to heavy exudate, which is the fluid a wound produces.
- SAP core absorbs moderate to heavy exudate and holds it inside the dressing
- Activated charcoal layer is included for wound odor management
- Non-adherent contact layer sits against the wound bed and is made for gentle dressing changes
- Designed to limit strike-through and leakage by retaining fluid within the dressing
- Works with appropriate secondary fixation dressings, based on clinical preference and application needs
- May remain in place for up to 7 days, depending on exudate levels and clinical assessment
