Description / J & J Healthcare Systems VR945 - Coated Vicryl™ Rapide Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Vicryl Rapide suture is an absorbable suture, one the body breaks down over time, supplied with a 1/2 circle taper point needle. It is made of braided, coated polyglactin 910 and is sterile. It is indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa.
- Indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa where only short-term wound support (7 to 10 days) is needed
- Initial strength comparable to that of Nylon and Gut
- Coated Vicryl Rapide suture elicits lower tissue reaction than chromic gut suture
- Coated Vicryl Rapide suture is the fastest-absorbing synthetic suture
- Suture material: polyglactin 910, braided and coated
- Suture size 2-0, 36 inch suture length, undyed
- Needle: CT-1, 1/2 circle, taper point, stainless steel, 36 mm long
- 1 needle per suture
