Description / J & J Healthcare Systems VR426 - Coated Vicryl™ Rapide Suture with Needle - 12/Dozen, 12/Box
The Vicryl Rapide coated suture with needle is an absorbable suture, one the body absorbs over time, so it does not need to be removed. It is indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa where only short-term wound support is needed. It is made of braided polyglactin 910 and comes sterile.
- Indicated for superficial soft tissue approximation of the skin and mucosa where only short-term wound support (7 to 10 days) is needed
- Initial strength comparable to that of Nylon and Gut
- Coated Vicryl Rapide suture elicits lower tissue reaction than chromic gut suture
- Coated Vicryl Rapide is the fastest-absorbing synthetic suture
- Suture material: polyglactin 910, braided, coated
- Size 4-0, 27 inch suture, undyed
