The PDS Plus suture with needle from J & J Healthcare Systems is an absorbable monofilament suture, one that the body absorbs over time, made of polydioxanone with Irgacare MP. It pairs a size 3-0 strand with a stainless steel precision reverse cutting needle. It is supplied sterile.
- Absorbable monofilament suture made of polydioxanone with Irgacare MP
- Strength retention of 80% at 2 weeks, 70% at 4 weeks and 60% at 6 weeks
- Complete mass absorption in 183 to 238 days
- Extended wound support, with added strength, greater pliability and easier handling
