The Blom-Singer Duckbill voice prosthesis from Inhealth Technologies is a one way slit valve device, made of silicone. It is placed in a passage between the trachea and the esophagus for voice restoration following laryngectomy. It is a patient maintained device, so the user can handle insertion, removal and cleaning independently.
