The Protectiv Plus peripheral IV catheter is a short catheter placed in a peripheral vein, made by ICU Medical FKA Smiths Medical. It is 16 gauge and 1-1/4 inch long, with a straight hub and a sliding safety feature that retracts the needle. It is supplied sterile.
