The Gentell Dusoft nonwoven sponge is a 4-ply, 4 x 4 inch square sponge made from a polyester and rayon blend. It is nonsterile and made without natural rubber latex. Nonwoven construction means a sponge that sheds less lint than woven gauze.
- Four-ply construction
- Nonwoven sponges produce less lint and are less adherent than woven gauze sponges, so they cause less disruption to newly formed granulation tissue
- Rayon/polyester blend wicks quickly and is highly absorbent, which helps minimize skin maceration
