The Comfeel Plus Transparent Thin dressing from Coloplast is a thin hydrocolloid dressing, a wound dressing that holds moisture-absorbing particles in an adhesive layer. It is a sterile, square dressing that measures 6 x 6 inches. Its transparent film lets a caregiver check the wound without lifting the dressing.
- Can stay in place for up to 7 days, depending on the specific wound characteristics
- Transparent film lets the caregiver inspect the wound without changing or lifting the dressing
- Wound can be monitored closely without being disturbed
- Semi-permeable top film allows evaporation in line with the level of exudate (wound fluid) and keeps bacteria and water from entering the wound
- Moisture-absorbing sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) particles are encapsulated in a synthetic adhesive/elastomer matrix
