Description / Coloplast 33115 - Comfeel® Plus Ulcer Hydrocolloid Dressing, 6 x 6 Inch - 1/Each, 5/Box
The Coloplast Comfeel Plus Ulcer dressing is a hydrocolloid dressing, a self-adhesive wound dressing that contains moisture-absorbing particles. It measures 6 x 6 inches and is sterile. It is used to seal and protect low to moderately exuding wounds.
- Hydrocolloid dressing with alginate, used for sealing and protecting low to moderately exuding wounds
- Used for management of low to moderately exuding wounds, including leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, superficial burns, superficial partial-thickness burns, donor sites, postoperative wounds and skin abrasions
- Can stay on for up to 7 days, depending on the specific wound characteristics
- Semi-permeable top film allows evaporation corresponding to the level of exudate, and keeps bacteria and water from entering the wound
- Made of moisture-absorbing sodium carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) particles encapsulated in a synthetic adhesive/elastomer matrix
- Calcium alginate is added to the dressing to increase absorption
- Top film is a semi-permeable polyurethane film
