The Xeroform Occlusive dressing is a sterile, petrolatum impregnated gauze dressing, one that is coated with petrolatum and bismuth tribromophenate. It comes in a square 2 x 2 inch size. It is made for moist, draining wounds and has a nonadherent, hydrophilic nature.
- Sterile dressing with 3% bismuth tribromophenate and petrolatum, made to address wound surface sloughing and trauma
- Bismuth dressing forms an occlusive surface over moist, draining wounds
- Nonadherent, hydrophilic nature helps maintain a moist wound environment
- Square design seals the wound from all sides and conforms to any part of the body
- Small pore size in the nonabsorbent gauze keeps the secondary dressing from absorbing creams and ointments
