The Xeroform Occlusive dressing is a petrolatum impregnated dressing, a fine mesh gauze strip coated with a medicated ointment. It comes as a sterile 1 x 8 inch strip. It is made for wounds with minimum to heavy exudate, which is fluid from the wound.
- Nonadherent design, so the dressing does not stick to the surface it covers
- 3% bismuth tribromophenate in a water-in-oil emulsion, coated on fine mesh gauze
