Hydrofera BLUE Classic is a sterile, nonadhesive antibacterial foam dressing in a 6 x 6 inch (15.2 x 15.2 centimeter) square. It is made of PVA foam with methylene blue and gentian violet.

The Hydrofera BLUE Classic antibacterial foam dressing is a highly absorptive external dressing, one you place over the wound and secure separately because it has no adhesive. It comes sterile in a 6 x 6 inch (15.2 x 15.2 centimeter) square. It is made by BSN Medical for facility and home wound care use.
- Easy-to-use, highly absorptive external dressing for the local management of wounds, including pressure, venous stasis and arterial ulcers, donor sites, abrasions, lacerations, radiation burns, post-surgical incisions and other wounds caused by trauma
- Absorbs wound exudate, the fluid that drains from a wound
- Inhibits the growth of bacteria in the dressing
- Physically binds endotoxins, which are substances released by bacteria
- Absorbency is similar or superior to other highly absorptive dressings
- Dimensions: 6 x 6 inch (15.2 x 15.2 centimeter), square shape
