The BD Vacutainer urine specimen collection kit gathers what you need to collect a clean-catch, or midstream, urine sample. It includes a sterile plastic collection cup, castile soap towelettes and tubes for transport. Facilities and home caregivers can check the contents and tube sizes below.
- Plastic collection cup with a sterile interior, graduated to show a volume of up to 120 mL of urine
- The cup interior stays sterile until you remove the lid for collection
- Screw cap on the cup has an integrated transfer device
- Castile soap towelettes are included to cleanse the genitourinary area before collecting a clean-catch (midstream) urine specimen
- C and S preservative urine tubes are intended for collecting and transporting urine samples for culture and sensitivity testing of bacteria
