Pivot 1.5 Cal is a peptide-based, high-protein nutrition formula made by Abbott Nutrition for metabolic stress. It is an unflavored liquid for adults and is given by tube. The 8 oz. reclosable carton comes with 1½ calories per mL for fluid-restricted patients.
- Very high protein: 93.8 grams per liter, which is 25% of calories
- High calorie concentration of 1½ calories per mL, for fluid-restricted patients
- Arginine: 13 grams per liter, 3.5% of calories
- Glutamine: 7.6 grams per liter
- Omega-3 fatty acids: eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) at 2.6 grams per liter and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) at 1.1 grams per liter
- Blend of hydrolyzed protein, structured lipid and prebiotics (NutraFlora short-chain fructo-oligosaccharides)
- Hydrolyzed, peptide-based protein system with medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) and a fish oil structured lipid
