The Deterra Drug Disposal Pouch is a large pouch for disposing of pharmaceuticals. It uses activated carbon to deactivate drugs, so they are no longer available for misuse. Facilities and home caregivers can use it for pills, oral drug strips, liquids and patches.
- Powered by proprietary activated carbon, the patented Deterra System deactivates drugs and renders them inert
- Deactivated drugs are unavailable for misuse, nonretrievable for all practical purposes and safe for the environment
- Deactivates all organic medications, including opioids
