The LMA MAD Nasal is an intranasal mucosal atomization device, a device that turns liquid medication into a fine mist for use in the nose. It is made by Teleflex LLC and comes with a 3 mL syringe and a Luer lock connector. It is a pharmaceutical accessory, so it is used with medication that is supplied separately.
- Delivers a mist of atomized medication, which is absorbed quickly across mucosal membranes into the blood stream
- Atomized nasal medication is absorbed quickly across mucosal membranes. It can also reach the brain and cerebrospinal fluid through the olfactory mucosa, along the nose-to-brain pathway
