The 3M Scotchcast Plus blue cast tape is a fiberglass casting tape, a rigid wrap used to form casts. The fabric is impregnated with polyurethane resin and comes in a 3 inch x 12 foot roll (3 Inch x 4 Yard). It is made without natural rubber latex.
- Water or moisture starts a chemical reaction that makes the tape rigid
- Finished casts are lightweight, strong, radiolucent and porous
- Lubricating agent in the resin gives the tape a slippery feel when it is exposed to water
