The Smith & Nephew Allevyn Classic is a nonadhesive foam dressing without a border, in a square 2 x 2 inch size. It has an absorbent hydrocellular foam pad, a contact layer and a breathable film top. It is supplied sterile.

- Designed to create a moist environment for the wound
- Outer polyurethane top film is breathable and acts as a barrier to bacteria
- 5 x 5 centimeter dressing with a highly absorbent hydrocellular foam core that wicks away fluid
- Nonadhesive contact layer does not stick to the wound
