The Smith & Nephew No-Sting Skin-Prep prep pad is a liquid film-forming skin preparation, a barrier wipe you apply before attaching adhesive products. It forms a protective interface on intact or damaged skin. Each pad is sterile and comes in an individual packet.
- Liquid film-forming skin preparation that forms a protective interface when applied to intact or damaged skin
- Helps prepare skin attachment sites for drainage tubes, external catheters, skin around ostomy sites and other adhesive dressings
- Contains no alcohol, which lowers the chance of stinging
- Helps tape and film adhesion
- Removes easily with skin cleanser or soap and water, so no unsanitary residue is left in or around the wound area
- Thick formula needs only one coat to form a protective film, so application is more comfortable for patients
- Applies easily on awkward areas such as elbows, knees and heels
- Moves naturally with the patient's skin and does not crack or peel
