The DermaGinate alginate dressing is a sterile rope made of calcium alginate, a material derived from natural seaweed. It is formulated for moderate to highly exudating wounds, meaning wounds that produce a moderate to heavy amount of fluid. The rope shape measures 12 inches in length.
