The PDI PVP prep pad is a medium-size antiseptic pad for preparing a patient's skin before a procedure. Each pad comes in its own individual packet. It is a nonsterile, nonwoven gauze pad with povidone-iodine as its active ingredient.

- Used for venipuncture, IV starts, renal dialysis, pre-op prep and other minor invasive procedures
- PVP iodine (povidone-iodine) is described as providing longer germicidal activity than ordinary iodine solutions
