The Medline Puracol Plus collagen dressing is a sterile, rectangular wound dressing made of collagen. It absorbs well, so it suits wounds that produce a lot of fluid, known as high exuding wounds. It measures 4-1/4 x 4-1/2 inches.
- Absorbs well, made for high exuding wounds
- High wet strength, so the dressing can be removed in one piece
- High retention, which helps limit maceration (softening of the surrounding skin from moisture)
- Suitable for cavity wounds
- Turns gel-like on contact with exudate or with solutions that contain sodium ions, such as saline
