The McKesson Super Absorbent Dressing is a sterile, rectangular wound dressing that measures 4 x 5 inches. It has no border and no adhesive. You can use it as a primary dressing, placed directly on the wound, or as a secondary dressing, placed over another dressing, for moderate to heavy exudate (wound drainage).
- Super absorbent polymers bind drainage and convert it to a gel
- Holds more fluid and locks it inside the dressing, which helps decrease the risk of maceration (skin softening from moisture)
- Keeps wound fluid components away from the wound and the skin around it
- Protective outer layer and a non-adherent wound contact layer for easy removal
- Can be used as a primary or secondary dressing for moderate to heavy exudate
