The McKesson Hydrogel Gauze Dressing is an impregnated dressing, gauze that has hydrogel worked into it. It measures 4 x 4 inches and is supplied sterile in an individual packet. It is used as a primary layer over a wound.

- Suited to areas with light or no exudation, the fluid that drains from a wound
- Sterile gauze dressing; the outer edge can be protected with barrier film or ointment
- Hydrogel maintains moisture at the wound, keeping the gauze soft and moist as it conforms to the wound bed
- Impregnated dressing that also facilitates autolytic debridement, the body's own process of clearing dead tissue
