McKesson Puracyn Plus Professional Wound Irrigation Solution is a wound cleanser, a liquid used to cleanse and irrigate wounds. It comes ready to use in a 16.9 fl oz bottle with an instill/spikeable cap. It requires no mixing or diluting.
- Used for cleansing, irrigating, moistening and debriding to remove wound debris from acute and chronic dermal lesions
- Suited to partial or full thickness wounds, including 1st and 2nd degree burns, stage I to IV pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, stasis ulcers, abrasions, minor skin irritations, post-surgical wounds, and grafted and donor sites
- Also used to moisten and lubricate absorbent wound dressings
- Noncytotoxic and nonirritating, and made not to harm healthy tissue
- Ready-to-use formula with no mixing or diluting
- Instill/spikeable cap for easy application
- Supports wound odor reduction
- Environmentally friendly, with no special disposal required
- Contains hypochlorous acid, a known antimicrobial, which serves as a preservative to inhibit the growth of a broad range of microorganisms including staphylococcal species
