The McKesson Thumb Splint is a wrist brace with a thumb spica, a design that supports the thumb and wrist together. It is a low profile splint made for adult users. One design fits either the left or the right hand.
- Listed uses: thumb sprains or strains, hyperextension, arthritis of the first carpal metacarpal (basal joint arthritis), thumb tendonitis, Gamekeeper's or Skier's Thumb, and deQuervain's syndrome
- Bilateral, unisex design fits most users on the right or left thumb, so you can switch sides as needed
- Dorsal, radial and palmar stay pockets are built in to stabilize the thumb
- Each pocket holds a malleable aluminum stay and a flexible spiral stay, and you can remove or shape the stays for a custom fit
- Low profile design allows everyday tasks such as typing or writing
- Single-pull, elastic-lace system allows easy one-handed donning
