The Lohmann & Rauscher Suprasorb A + Ag is a silver alginate dressing, a wound dressing made from calcium alginate. It is a sterile 4 X 4 Inch square with no adhesive and no border. It is made for wounds that produce a lot of fluid.
- Made for the care of heavily exuding wounds, meaning wounds with a lot of drainage
- Highly absorbent calcium alginate, derived from natural brown seaweed
- Soft, comfortable dressing that fills even deep wounds and conforms to most any wound bed
- Forms a gel when in contact with wound exudate
- Contains silver, which is present in the dressing
- Silver ions protect the dressing from a broad spectrum of bacterial contamination for up to 3 days in the in vitro challenge test
