The Vliwasorb superabsorbent wound dressing is a thin, flexible pad built to hold wound exudate (fluid from a wound). It is a sterile, nonadhesive rectangle, 10 x 20 centimeters (4 x 8 inches). Its absorbent core uses superabsorbent polymers that take up 20 times their own weight.
