Ethibond Excel is a nonabsorbable suture with a needle attached, made of braided polyester. It is a sterile, coated, green suture, size 5, with a V-40 1/2 circle taper cutting needle. The braided build and coating are designed to give it good handling.
- Nonabsorbable braided polyester suture made from high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters
- Braided construction for optimal handling properties
- Highly adherent coating made of a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound
- The coating acts as a lubricant and improves handling compared with braided, uncoated fiber
- Polyester suture material, size 5, braided, 12-strand
- Coated suture, green in color
- Suture length: 30 inch suture
