The Ethibond Excel suture with needle is a nonabsorbable suture, meaning it is not broken down by the body. It is braided polyester, supplied sterile with one attached taper point needle. It is made for facilities that need a coated, braided suture with a specified needle and suture length.
- Nonabsorbable braided polyester suture made from high molecular weight, long chain, linear polyesters
- Braided construction for good handling properties
- Highly adherent coating made from a relatively nonreactive, nonabsorbable compound
- The coating acts as a lubricant and improves handling compared with braided, uncoated fiber
- Suture material: polyester, braided, 12-strand, coated
- Suture size 0, 18 inch length, green
