The Needle-Pro venipuncture device is a safety blood collection tube holder, the holder that carries the collection tube during a blood draw. It is made of plastic and is made for use with multi-sampling blood collection needles. The safety feature is built into the holder.
- Holder-based safety design limits back-end exposure by blocking needle removal and holder re-use, in line with OSHA directives
- Safety device engages the blood draw needle when activated
- Works with Jelco blood collection needles
- Meets NIOSH/CDC recommendations for safety devices, which are listed in the next four bullets
- The safety feature is an integral part of the device and engages with a single-handed technique
- The clinician's hands and fingers stay behind the exposed sharp at all times, and the clinician can easily tell whether the safety feature is activated
- The needle is securely locked inside the safety device and stays protected through disposal
