The Greiner Bio-One VACUETTE Z Serum Clot Activator is a venous blood collection tube, a tube used to collect blood from a vein. It holds 9 mL and measures 16 x 100 mm. It is a sterile serum tube with a clot activator additive.
- The inner wall of the tube is coated with microscopic silica particles, which activate the coagulation process
- Serum separator tubes hold a separation gel in the base of the tube. During centrifugation, the gel forms a stable barrier between the serum and the blood cells
