The ConvaTec Aquacel Ag nonadhesive silver foam dressing is a sterile, square dressing that measures 4 x 4 inches. It pairs a soft foam pad with a Hydrofiber layer that contains ionic silver. It has no border and no adhesive on the dressing itself.
- Waterproof top layer lets excess moisture evaporate and protects against viral and bacterial penetration, so the patient can shower and bathe
- Soft, absorbent foam pad adds comfort and absorbs excess fluid
- Hydrofiber layer with ionic silver gels on contact with wound fluid
- A gentle silicone adhesive is described as giving secure, skin-friendly adhesion and easy removal, with demonstrated low potential for dermal irritation or allergic contact sensitization
- Nonadhesive type, without border
