The Cutimed Siltec Heel 3D is a super absorbent silicone foam dressing shaped to fit the heel. It is sterile and made of polyurethane foam with a silicone face and a film backing. It is made by BSN Medical.
- Super absorbent silicone foam dressing
- Smart pore structure absorbs exudate (wound fluid) vertically, which allows for less maceration (skin softening from moisture)
- Silicone wound contact layer protects the surrounding skin and allows atraumatic (gentle) dressing changes
- A layer of super-absorbent particles sits above the foam core for reliable fluid absorption and retention, even under compression
- Film backing is water repellent and has a high MVTR (moisture vapor transmission rate)
