The BD SafeStep Port Access Kit is a sterile kit built around a 22 gauge, 1 inch stainless steel needle with a sliding safety feature. It includes the supplies listed below, so the items come together in one package. The kit is sold without a port.
- 22 gauge needle, 1 inch in length

- Kit contents: 10 mL 0.9% sodium chloride (saline) ampoule, ChloraPrep one-step applicator, transparent dressing, and filter straw

- Also included: alcohol prep pad, skin protectant prep pad, syringe, absorbent towel, and dressing change label
